Hope in Blogging

Since Necessity is usually regarded as the Mother of Intention, I'm guessing that her relationship to Creativity is either as an aunt or perhaps a first cousin of first cousin once removed...in the female line. Look at J.K. Roweling and Harry Potter.

I have to admit, I've only given this any consideration since my money situation is such that I have to investigate ways of using some sort of creativity to provide a sort of distraction of hope or enjoyment while I try to resolve and restore my financial situation. Or, and this may be just a way of restating that, a way to create a degree of removal from it, by reading it all like it were someone else's life, or situation, or solution... well, there:

it already seems to be working.
That's really quick.

Funny Thing of the Day:

I've been freinds with Karen and Bill for 15 or 16 years now, and we have made room for all the new developements within each other's lives. They have a girl, Kelley, in second grade who since day one has promised to be a very bright and methodical mind. I guess I should have know this day was coming, but since I didn't it did surprise me, and is still making me laugh.

"Kelleeeeey" I called to her from the kitchen table, where her mom and I were staring at two words: heel and heal. "How do you spell 'he(a)el'?"
"Which one?" She called from her bedroom.
"like the 'heel of your ankle'."
There was a pause and Karen and I looked at each wondering what she would say next.
"Well, " she said coming around the corner into the kitchen w. two different shirts in her hands, her eyes focused on the two words in mind, "then it would be 'h e e l'. Mom, could you come into my room and tell me which skirt I could wear with these shirts?"

By the time Karen had returned it had sunk in and I was smirking a bit already.
"You do realize that she is in second grade and I'm already asking her to help w. my 'homework'?"
I saw this hit Karen as she smiled and laughed. "I know: just like Bill!" referring to her husband who was largely responsible for my passing college Algebra 101.
"All ready!" I stressed, and we laughed.
